Describe briefly the cause of conflict between bahmani and vijayanagar kingdom

Main reasons for the conflict between the Vijaynagarand the Bahamani kingdoms were:
- Both kingdoms wanted to control the fertile and rich Raichur doab lying between rivers Krishna and Tungabhadra.
- They also wanted to conquer Golconda because of its diamond mines.
- Both kingdoms had ambitious and powerful rulers and wanted to annex and exert influence in each other’s territory.
