Mosquito bites should be prevented by using mosquito nets, applying mosquito repellents to the body etc.

Tuberculosis

Tired feeling, indigestion, vomiting, night sweating, low fever, especially in the evening and chills

BCG (Bacillus Calmette Guerin) vaccine should be administered.

Ascariasis

Fruits and vegetables growing on soil contaminated with human faeces should be thoroughly washed and adequately cooked before eating

Polio virus

Strain in the muscles of back and legs, muscles become flaccid and cause disability.

Population of flies should be reduced.

Polio vaccine is given.
