Describe a Bunsen burner and give its uses.

A Bunsen burner consist of four parts namely- base, nozzle, burner tube and air hole.
Base: A cast iron structure on which the Bunsen burner rests.
Nozzle: Allows entry of the combustible gas from the base.
Burner tube: It is a long metal tube whose end is the burning flame.
Air hole: The air hole is covered by a ring which on adjusting controls the nature of the flame.
Bunsen burner is used for heating purposes.
