- Wind: The horizontal movement of air due to its inconsistent heating by the Sun is known as wind. It can also be defined as air in motion.
- Coriolis force: The Earth rotates on its axis from the west to the east. Due to this, the winds or other moving objects do not move in a straight path but get deflected.
- Altitude: It can be defined as the height of an object in relation to the sea or the ground level.
- Monsoons: The monsoons are periodic winds which develop primarily due to the heating of the landmass and the oceans.
