- The density of solids is defined as the ratio of the mass which that solid holds to the volume occupied by that solid body.
- Density of fluids (that means liquids and gases) too can be defined in a similar manner i.e the ratio of the mass of the fluid to the volume occupied by that fluid.
- Usually, the density of fluids are lesser when compared to the density of the solids.
