Define resistivity of conductor state it’s si unit

Resistance R of a conductor is given by, R = ρ×(L/A) ...............(1)
 
where ρ is resitivity of material, L is length of conductor and A is area of cross section.
 
if we rewrite eqn.(1),  ρ = R×(A/L)  
 
hence resistivity of the material is the resitance of a conductor made of that material that is having unit length and unit cross section.
 
unit of resistivity = Ohm-meter
