Expert Answer
- The amount of water vapour present in the air is called humidity.
- The amount of water vapour in a given volume of air at a given temperature is called absolute humidity. It is measured in grams per cubic metre.
- The ratio between the actual amount of water vapour present in a given volume of air at a given temperature and the maximum amount of water vapour which the same volume of air can contain at that temperature is called relative humidity. It is expressed in percentage.
