Dear sir/mam, plz answer the following question....

a particle moves such that its position vector 'r' at time 't' is given by-

   r    = i(3t2+2t)+ j(2t2+4t)

determine the magnitude of (i)velocity at t=5sec

                                                (ii)acceleration.

(where i and j are unit vectors along X and Y-axis)

The velocity v = (d/dt ) . (i(3t2+2t)+ j(2t2+4t)

which on differentiating, we get,

v = (6t+2)i+(4t+4)j

substituting for t = 5 s

we get,

v=32i+24j  m/s

Do similar thing to find acceleration given by a = (d/dt)v
