A mathematician is a person with extensive knowledge on the subject of mathematics, who then applies the theoretical knowledge to practical use. In order to become a mathematician you would need to have develop extensive knowledge of mathematics. Learn your basics thoroughly and immerse yourself in the knowledge of mathematics.
