Initial speed of the ball = 108 km / hr = 108×(5/18) = 30 m /s
retardation a is obtained using the equation " v2 = u2 - 2×a×S " , with final speed v =0
a = u2 /(2S) = (30×30) /(2×75×10-2) = 600 m/s2
force = mass×retardation = 100×10-3×600 = 60 N
