An incompressible fluid is a one whose volume is not reduced with increase in pressure.

Venturimeter is the device used to measure the flow speed of an incompressible liquid.

This tube has a broad diameter at both ends and a narrow diameter at its centre. This is done because we can then get different velocities at broader and narrower end.

Therefore, by using Bernoulli's principle we will get the pressure difference between the two ends.

The tube is also connected to a U tube. When the liquid flows through the venturimeter tube, any pressure difference becomes visible in the U tube as the liquid is incompressible.

Then by using the height difference of the fluid in the U tube, the speed of the fluid can be calculated.
