Contruct a triangle ABC such that BC=8.5cm, AB=7cm and median AD=4.8cm.

Steps of construction:
 
1. Draw the median BD = 4.8 units.
2. Using a rounder, cut arcs from points B and D at a distance of 1 half open parentheses 7 close parentheses units and 1 half open parentheses 8 close parentheses units respectively.
3. From the point E so formed by the intersection of the arcs, draw parallel line to ED and having a length of 8 units from point B. Call it BC. Finally, extend BE and CD to meet at a point A.
 
4. The triangle ABC is the required triangle.
Note: Please clarify the median of triangle is BD and not AD.
