Construct a square with each diagonal of length 6.6 cm. Write the steps of construction.

Diagonals of a square are perpendicular bisector of each other. Also, they are equal.

 

 

 

 

Steps of Construction:

a)Draw PR = 6.6 cm.

b)Draw perpendicular bisector XY of PR meeting PR at O.

c)From O, draw an arc of radius 3.3 cm on both side of PR intersecting OX at S and OY at Q.

d)Join PS, SR, RQ and QP.

PQRS is the required square.
