Expert Answer
The reaction of sulphuric acid with water called a hydration reaction in which a large amount of heat is produced hence it is an exothermic reaction.
When water is added to sulphuric acid, it can boil and spit dangerously.
This type of behavior is related to the relative densities of the two liquids.
Sulphuric acid is denser than water hence water will tend to float on the acid, which leads to the formation of a large amount of heat.
