Patent refers to the right conferred upon the inventor of the new products or processes formulated using technical advancement over already known products. These exclusive rights are granted by the government which restrict others from the use, sale, making or importing of the invention for a specific period of time.
In case of unpatented products of a patented process, there are hardly enough holdings to support a line of law in the text and therefore, the court has set down broad grounds of policy which would seem severely to limit the manufacturer's right.
