Dear Suyash,

Like the Mughal Empire in the past, presently India is also made up of many social and cultural units. This however does not pose any serious challenge to the national integration of the country as provisions have been made in the Constitution of the country to safeguard the rights and freedom of minority communities. Formation of states in independent India on the basis of languages have ensured that there is no linguist and cultural unrest in the country. India is a secular state and has no official religion of its own. Every person is free to profess, propagate and practice his or her own religion. This has further unified the nation.
