Can you tell me how to calculate density of a cell using log???(please give an example)

Expert Answer
An element crystallises in a structure having a fcc unit cell of an edge 200 pm. Calculate its density if 200 g of this element contain 24 x 1023atoms.
Solution:
Length of edge, a = 200 pm = 200 x 10-12 m = 200 x 10-10 cm
Volume of unit cell = (200 x 10-10)3 = 8 x 10-24 cm3
Mass of unit cell = No.of atom is unit cell x mass of each atom
The element has fcc arrangement, the number of atom perunit cell z = 4
