If polarised Beam A has maximum intensity and polarised Beam B has minimum intensity,  then pass axis of polaroid is parallel to ploaraisation direction of A.
 
After 30º rotation of poloroid sheet, Intensity of both beams are equal. AS per Malu's law we can write
 
IAcos230º = IBcos260º ;
 
IA(3/4) = IB(1/4);  Hence ( IA / IB ) = 1/3
