can you give some examples where: (a)there is an increase in pressure & decrease in area (b)there is an increase in area and decrease in pressure

(a) Nails and pins have pointed ends (decrease in area), so that pressure on the pointed ends would be large.
(b) Wide wooden sleepers are kept below railway lines (increase in area) to reduce pressure on the railway tracks.
