Can i plz get the main value points for this chapter.??

How to use this in the foll. question:

there are 8girls and 6 boys in a committee. A delegation is to  be send which consists of 2 girls and 2 boys. how many possible delegations are possible?

Two girls can be selected from 8 girls in 8C2 ways.
 
Two boys can be selected from 6 boys in 6C2 ways.
 
Thus, the total possible ways are 8C2 x 6C2 = 420 ways
