can i get a best definition for archimedes' principle

When an object is immersed in fluid, it feels lighter.when  an object is immersed in a fluid is buoyed up by a force equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the object. This became known as Archimede's principle.
 
or, Archimedes' principle (or Archimedes's principle)  states that the upward buoyant force exerted on a body immersed in a fluid is equal to the weight of the fluid the body displaces.
