can an object be at rest in motin at the same time?

answered-by-expert Expert Answer
- This depends upon the frame of reference or the point of view of observation of the body.
- For example, a huge rock on the surface of the Earth would be a body at rest for an observer near the rock on the Earth.
- But for the observer on the Moon, the rock, along with the entire planet Earth would be a body in motion.
- Thus, it is possible that a body may be at rest for an observer and the same body at the same time would be a body in motion for another observer.
- All of this, depends upon the frame of reference or point of view.
