CBSE - XI Science - Physics - Motion in a Straight Line

can an object be accelerated without speeding up or slowing down?

Acceleration means rate of change of velocity.

Velocity is speed in a particular direction.

So, if the velocity changes either speed or direction, there is some acceleration.

So, if we change the direction, and not necessarily the speed, we are still accelerating.
