Let AB be the copper rod of length l in uniform magnetic field B moving with velocity v.

Let vbe the vertical component of the velocity of the rod.

vy = v sin θ

Area (A) swept by the rod in time t = l × v sin θ × t     (1)

As Φ = BA cos 0°= BA       (2)

Put the value of A from eq.1 in eq. 2
