Calculate the current drawn from 2V battery in the diagram given below .Calculate VB - VA

Given circuit is redrawn asgiven in fig.(1) . Two 4 Ω resistors in the path BAC are in series .
Hence two 4 Ω resistors is replaced by equivelent resistance 8 Ω in fig.(2) .
Now we see as in fig.(2) , two resistors are in parallel and equivalent resistance of these two parallel resistors is given as
Equivalenet resistance = ( 8 × 4 ) / ( 8 + 4 ) = 2.67 Ω
hence current drawn frm battery = 2 V / 2.67 Ω = 0.75 A
Current passing through the path BAC = 0.75 × ( 4 / 12 ) = 0.25 A
Hence potential difference across 4 Ω resistor between ponts A and B is (0.25 × 4 ) = 1 V
