Blue green algae have beeen included under the kingdom monera not under plantae .why?

Hi Srinidhi,

Monera is a kingdom of prokaryotes while organisms of kingdom Plantae show definite nucleus and multicellular body .

Blue green algae are prokaryotes having nucleus with naked DNA.As they also do not possess multicellular body, these characters show that they are classified under Monera and do not come under the kingdom Plantae.
