Based on the extent to which reaction proceeds to reach equilibrium we may have the negligible amount of reactant are left.
The above statement is about the equilibrium reactions, now some reactions are forward equilibrium () means equilibrium establish more in forwarding direction and some reactions are backward equilibrium means equilibrium establish more in the backward direction. and also the equilibrium.
In all these cases there is a possibility that some amount of reactant is not converted to product hence the negligible amount of reactant is left.
