Base and  hypotenuse of a right angled triangle are 5 cm and 9 cm resepectevely. find the area of the right angled triange whose base and heights are half of the base and height of the given triangle ?

According to the Pythogoras Theorem, 
(side 1)2 + (side 2)2 = (hypotenuse)2
52 + x2  = 92
25 + x2 = 81
x2 = 81 - 25
x2 = 56
x = 2 square root of 14
The height of the triangle is 2 square root of 14 cm
Area of a triangle = 1 half cross times b cross times h
Area of the other triangle = 1 half cross times 5 over 2 cross times fraction numerator 2 square root of 14 over denominator 2 end fraction
Area of the triangle = fraction numerator 5 square root of 14 over denominator 4 end fraction space c m squared
