When heat is supplied to the ice it gets converted to water and then to vapours.

Heat supplied to the ice is absorbed by the particles of ice. Due to this the kinetic energy of the particles increases and the bonds between the particles breaks.

The heat is absorbed to overcome the forces of attraction between the particles.

Therefore the temperature remains constant until the whole solid changes to liquid although heat energy is constantly supplied.
