mirror equation :- begin mathsize 14px style 1 over v plus 1 over u equals 1 over f end style  .....................(1)
v = mirror-to-image distance = 15 cm
u = mirror-to-object distance = -20 cm
f is focal length

(sign convention is applied for both u and v .  v is +ve because virtual image formed behind mirror )

hence from (1) , we have,  (1/15) - (1/20) = 1/f   or  f = 60 cm

focal length is +ve, also magnification -v/u = (-15/-20) = 3/4, i.e. diminished erect and virtual image

Hence mirror is convex mirror
