mirror equation :- .....................(1)
v = mirror-to-image distance = 15 cm
u = mirror-to-object distance = -20 cm
f is focal length
(sign convention is applied for both u and v . v is +ve because virtual image formed behind mirror )
hence from (1) , we have, (1/15) - (1/20) = 1/f or f = 60 cm
focal length is +ve, also magnification -v/u = (-15/-20) = 3/4, i.e. diminished erect and virtual image
Hence mirror is convex mirror
