AN issoceles triangle have equal side 5 cm and its area is 12cm square.Find its base?

Expert Answer
We have taken the base as b.
And we know that in an isosceles triangle, perpendicular bisects the base. So in smaller triangle while using Pythagoras theorem, we have taken b/2 as tgethe length of one of the leg.
