An athlete completes one round of a circular track of diameter 49m in 20s. Calculate the distance covered and displacement at the end of 30s.

Expert Answer
Time taken to complete one round = 20s
Total time = 30s
Thus, no. of rounds completed = (30/20) = 1.5
Distance covered in 30 s =
Now, in round displacement is zero. In the next half round the displacement of athlete is equal to the diameter of the circular track. Thus, displacement after 30s = 49 m.
