# An aluminium wire in the shape of a square has a perimeter of 60cm what is the length of each side of the square? If the wire is regent into a regular Pentagon then find the length of each side

Asked by bhaveshjain 1st February 2019, 10:14 PM
If the wire is in the shape of square,
that means length of all the 4 sides will be equal.
Perimeter of a square is the sum of all the 4 sides = 60cm
Length of each side = 60/4 = 15 cm

If the same wire is bent to a regular pentagon,
the perimeter will remain the same.

A regular pentagon has 5 sides of equal length,
thus, the length of each side will be
60 / 5 = 12 cm
