It is given that ab*ab = 2(ac*ac)

ab*ab = (ac*ac) + (ac*ac)

ab*ab = (ac*ac) + (bc*bc)                        (since, ac = bc)

Thus, ABC is a right angled triangle.     (by pythagoras theorem)
