(a) Evaporation is a phenomenon of change of a liquid into vapours at any temperature below its boiling point.

(b) Whatever be the temperature at which evaporation takes place, the latent heat of vaporisation must be supplied whenever a liquid changes into vapour.

(c) As we know that rate of evaporation increases with increases in surface area, so the wet clothes on being spread out dry up easily and quickly.
