answered-by-expert Expert Answer

Radius of the well r=1.5 m, h=14m

Volume of earth taken out of the well = r2h

= 1.5 1.5 14

= 99 m3

Outer radius of embankment = R =1.5 + 4 = 5.5 m

Area of embankment = outer area - inner area

= (R2-r2)

= [5.52 - 1.52]

= 28

= 88 m2

Height of embankment = = 1.125 m
