Expert Answer
A node is a point on the wave where the amplitude is minimum.
Now, in a wave a node appears after every half the wavelength. So, if the wavelength is 2 m then the node will appear after every 1 m.
Hence, if we look from the surface, a node will be formed 1 m from the surface.
Similarly, a node will be formed at 2 m, 3 m, 4 m, and so on.
