Expert Answer
Palaash can buy:
(i) 4 toffees and 1 chewing gum
(Rs 2 x 4 toffees) + (Re 1 x 1 chewing gum) = Rs (8+1) = Rs 9
(ii) 3 toffees and 3 chewing gums
(Rs 2 x 3 toffees) + (Re 1 x 3 chewing gums) = Rs (6+3) = Rs 9
(iii) 2 toffees and 5 chewing gums
(Rs 2 x 2 toffees) + (Re 1 x 5 chewing gums) = Rs (4+5) = Rs 9
(iv) 1 toffee and 7 chewing gums
(Rs 2 x 1 toffee) + (Re 1 x 7 chewing gums) = Rs (8+1) = Rs 9
(v) 0 toffee and 9 chewing gums
(Rs 2 x 0 toffees) + (Re 1 x 9 chewing gums) = Rs (0+9) = Rs 9
