a solid sphere of radius 15cm is melted and recast into solid right circular  cones of radius 2.5cm and height 8cm.claculate the number of cones recast.

Here,
Radius of a solid sphere = R = 15 cm
Radius of a cone = r = 2.5 cm and h = 8 cm
Volume of the Sphere = begin mathsize 16px style 4 over 3 πr cubed end style  ....(i)
Volume of the cone  = begin mathsize 16px style 4 over 3 πr cubed end style  ....(ii)
 
Number of cones = begin mathsize 16px style fraction numerator left parenthesis straight i right parenthesis over denominator left parenthesis ii right parenthesis end fraction equals fraction numerator begin display style 4 over 3 πR cubed end style over denominator 1 third πr squared straight h end fraction equals fraction numerator 4 straight R cubed over denominator straight r squared straight h end fraction equals fraction numerator 4 cross times 15 cross times 15 cross times 15 over denominator 2.5 cross times 2.5 cross times 8 end fraction equals 270 end style
