CBSE Class 9 Answered
a rubber ball of mass 50 grams falls from a height of 10 cms and rebounds to a height of 50 cms. Determine the change in leanier momentum and average force between ball and the ground ,taking time of contact as 0.1

Expert Answer
The mass of the ball be m =0.05kg
inital velocity of ball when it reaches round can be found by conservation of energy principle by equating the kinetic energy at the bottom of the fall to the potential energy at the top.
and the velocity while leaving the ground:
Now forec exerted by the ground on ball will be:
F = (final momentum-initial momentum)/t
