The border is 25cm wide and on the other side the border is .5 m broad with 'welcome' inscripted on it.find total area of the border?

As per my understanding of this question, I have drawn the above figure of the red carpet described in question.
Area of border = (2×12×0.01 + 1.5×.025 + 1.5×.5) sq.m = 1.0275 sq.m
