A rectangular field is 280 m long and 100 m wide. Two crossroads are constructed on the 2nd side, parallel to the length of the field and parallel to the width of the field. The roads are E12 m wide, find out the following: a. Crossroads

Area of rectangle = 28,000 sq.m
Area of cross road= sum of area of two brown rectangles minus area of the square at the intersection (since it is taken twice)
= 280×12+100×12-122=4416 sq.m
