A person is standing between two vertical cliffs and is 800 m away from the nearest Cliff.he shouted ,heard his first echo after 5 s and second echo 10 s later.calculate 1)speed of sound 2) distance between the two cliff

First echo heard after 5 seconds due to the cliff which is 800 m away.
 
velocity of sound = distance/(t/2) = 800/2.5 = 320 m/s
 
second echo heard after 10 s. hence distance to the other cliff = velocity ×(t/2) = 320×5 = 1600 m.
 
hence distance between two cliffs = 1600+800 = 2400 m.
