A particle moving along a straight line covers half of the distance with speed of 3m/s .The other half of the distance is covered in two equal time intervals with speed of 4.5 m/s and 7.5 m/s . The average speed of the particle is ?
 Explain why they have take t2 for different speed in the below sol steps(in image).

They have taken t2/2 that is equal times for both the velocities because it is clearly mentioned in the problem itself that the particle covers the other half distance in equal time intervals for both the speeds 4.5 aand 7.5.
