Horizontal Range begin mathsize 12px style equals space fraction numerator u squared sin 2 alpha over denominator g end fraction end style..................(1)
where u and α are velocity and angle of projection. we are given α = 45º.
Hence Range begin mathsize 12px style equals space u squared over g space equals space 36 space................. left parenthesis 2 right parenthesis end style
maximum height begin mathsize 12px style h space equals space fraction numerator u squared sin squared alpha over denominator 2 g end fraction space space equals space 1 half cross times u squared over g space cross times sin squared alpha space space equals space 1 half cross times 36 cross times 1 half space equals space 9 space m end style
