a particle is projected from ground with an initial velocity of 20 m per sec at an angle of 30 degree with the horizontal. wht is magnitude of change in 0.5 sec?

Given, u = 20 m/s
          θ = 300
Assuming that your question was about change in magnitutde of Velocity, we can say
 
ux = u cosθ = 20xcos30 = 20x = 10m/s
uy = u sinθ = 20xsin30 = 20x1/2 = 10 m/s
 
ax = 0 m/s2
ay = -g = -10 m/s2
 
Now change in velocity after 0.5 seconds is,
 
vx = ux + axt = 10 + 0 = 10 m/s
vy = uy + ayt = 10 + (-10x0.5) = 10-5 = 5 m/s
 
So, the magnitude of final velocity after 0.5 seconds is, v =

                 = 18.03 m/s
