CBSE Class 9 Answered
A particle is moving with constant acceleration. Its displacement and time equation is given as : s=ut+3t.
find (i)the initial velocity
(ii)final velocity after 2 sec
(iii)distance travelled after 2 seconds
I have solved first part and my answer is:

Is it right?
and please tell the answers of other part

Expert Answer
The equation S = ut + 3t seems to be wrong.
Comparing this equation with , we get
Now, according to the question the particle is moving with uniform acceleration.
Hence, in the equation if a is constant, then t has to be constant to get a constant value as 3.
But, t is not constant and hence the equation is invalid. For the equation to be valid, the equation has to be a quadratic equation in t.
