Distance is a measure of how far an object has travelled from its starting point, or how far away it is. It is the same as the length and is measured in metre. Displacement is a vector quantity and can be defined by using distance concept. It can be defined as the distance between the initial point and final point of an object. It must be the shortest interval connecting the initial and final points, that is a straight line.

Given:
Diameter = 5 cm
Radius = 2.5 cm
Distance in 1 revolution = 2 π r = 2 × 3.14 × 2.5 = 15.7 m
Distance in 3 revolutions = 3 × 15.7 = 47.1
As the body comes back to the same position the displacement is 0.
