Position x(t) = ( t2 - 4 t + 10 ) m
 
velocity , v(t) = ( dx/dt ) = 2t - 4
 
(1) Initial velocity at t = 0 ,  v(0)  = ( 0 - 4 ) m/s = - 4 m/s
 
(2) velocity at t = 2 s , v(2) = 2 ( 2 ) - 4 = 0 m/s
 
(3)
 
Position at t = 0 , x(0) = 0 - 0 + 10 = 10 m
 
Position at t = 2 , x(2) = 4 -8 +10 = 6 m
 
displacement = ( 6 - 10 ) m = - 4 m
 
average velocity = displacement / time = -4 m / 2 s  = -2 m/s
