A paralell plate capacitor connected to a cell fully charged After disconnecting the cell a thin sheet of mica is placed between the plates . What happen to its charge and capcitor

Expert Answer
Then that net charge of the capacitor will remain same it will not change , but the charges on plates will same. The capacity of the capacitor will increase due the insertion of dielectric (in this case it is Mica) . It will hold more charge by having same dimenssdim.
